My stencil tutorial finished. I don’t really think its that helpful as a tutorial but hopefully this will get some more people doing stencil art, you never know. Anyway its done in flash and all the drawing where done really quick so I didn’t bother to shade them sorry. Anyways rather then reading this check it out and tell me what you think.
yeah silk screening is great I’m actually going to release a clothing line when I get back to the US. J/W but how do you have access to silk-screening stuff I kinda lucked out and my dad owns a very small printing shop. Anyways I’m going to go check out some of your stuff hope you have some shirts posted
and ive been buying my silkscreen supplies from art stores, theres a few good ones around here with some good prices/selection, but im going to look into buying some things off the internet. do you happen to have any experience with plastisol inks? i want to try some out but dont want to get myself into something im not set up to do yet.
yeah actually plastisol inks is all I have used so I have nothing to compare to but they work great also if you ever need screens I have so many and could sell them to you cheap but shipping might cost a bit. Right now I’m in Taiwan but as of today sick of it after going out to this lame bar I miss the parties I went to back in Chicago < hmm that was a bit of subject but I’m a bit drunk. keep in touch and all
great work man, but i recomend the use of alcohole at all times , i ws on the streets of the city yesterday painting in front of a hole bunch of people its kinda weird ya gotta work REAL fast and run, also gota get me some spray glue. any way again great work very informitive
do you need to use different screens for plastisol ink?
im just using plain speedball ink (which is basically just goopy runny acrylic paint) and screens right now, i would think they would be the same though.
ive heard that plastisol doesnt airdry so you have to buy some sort of flash dryer which is a bit out of my budget at the moment. do you know if this is true? ive also heard you can make a diy flashdryer out of an old oven but i dont feel like looking for one. do you think a hair dryer would work?
sry for all the questions, ive found plastisol inks on ebay but they come in huge amounts, id hate to buy a bunch and realize i can't use any of it.
